• <br />• <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: July 23, 2001 <br />AGENDA ITEM NO. <br />Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution 01 -97, Accepting <br />Donations from Circle -Lex Lions Club and Centennial <br />Fire District <br />Vote Required: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department was approached last fall by the <br />Centennial Youth Tackle Football Organization to find ways to improve their football <br />program. After several meetings it was decided that the Lino Lakes Parks and <br />Recreation Department could administer this football program more efficiently. <br />In order to provide equipment for each team, staff contacted several organizations in the <br />community requesting donations. The Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department <br />received $500 from the Circle -Lex Lions Club and $1000 from the Centennial Fire <br />District. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Accept donations from the Circle -Lex Lions Club and Centennial Fire District. <br />2.
