• • • Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 01 -114 RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF AN EXPANDED FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE LINO LAKES MARKETPLACE IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, in response to a petition from property owners located on the east side of Lake Drive, south of 77t1' Street and north of Apollo Drive extended, in an area proposed to be platted as the Lino Lakes Marketplace, it is proposed to improve this area generally located in the South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 8 by constructing utility and street improvements, and WHEREAS, notwithstanding claims regarding assessable costs made in the petition letter of May 8, 2001, the City will determine the benefiting properties and the assessable costs, and WHEREAS, the City proposes to assess the benefited property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and WHEREAS, since the original City Council action ordering a report on May 14, 2001, the scope of the proposed improvements has increased, and WHEREAS, the proposed additional improvements include reconstruction of Lake Drive from south of Apollo Drive to north of 77th Street including storm sewer, an additional signal, road widening, turn lanes, bypass lanes, and medians, and WHEREAS, the City proposes to assess the benefited property for all or a portion of the cost of the expanded improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. That the proposed expanded improvements be referred to the City Engineer for study and that he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvements are feasible and as to whether they should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvements as recommended.
