r e o <br />Tekcommunications Commission`. <br />Media Center <br />July 27, 2001 <br />Mr. Dan Tesch <br />City of Lino Lakes <br />600 Town Center Parkway <br />Lino Lakes , MN 55014 <br />RE: APPROVAL OF 2002 COMMISSION AND MEDIA CENTER BUDGETS <br />Dear Mr. Tesch: <br />Enclosed, please find for the council's review and approval the 2002 Budgets for both the North <br />Metro Telecommunications Commission ( "Commission ") and the North Metro Media Center <br />( "Media Center "). <br />I. 2002 COMMISSION BUDGET <br />The Commission's operating budget for 2002 is proposed at $466,177. This is an increase of <br />$193,698 over the 2001 budget. The increase is due to the costs associated with the formal <br />franchise renewal process. <br />Recommendation: That the Member Cities approve the 2002 Commission Budget as <br />recommended by the Telecommunications Commission and the <br />Operations Committee. <br />II. 2002 MEDIA CENTER BUDGET <br />The amended Joint Powers Agreement established an "Operations Committee" which is <br />composed of Member City administrators. Their primary responsibility is to provide input to the <br />operation and budget of the Community Media Center.
