• • CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JULY 18, 2001 Council Member Reinert advised a Planning and Zoning Board Member had indicated to him the concern about neighbors paying more dollars for property that abuts school property. A representative for a resident on Timberwolf stated that what came through at the Planning and Zoning Board meeting was that the lots were sold at a premium. The property is not costing the School District anything right now and the property may be needed for a school in the future. Mr. Christianson stated the School District may take the money from the sale and purchase another property that is more suitable for a future school according to the growth pattern. He stated it will be more expensive to purchase property ten years down the road for a more suitable location. Community Development Director Grochala advised the public hearing was held at the Planning and Zoning Board meeting. Residents were notified ti meeting.
