r <br />• <br />• <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />ORDINANCE NO. 20 — 01 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 612.05 (H) OF THE LINO LAKES <br />CITY CODE, PROVIDING AUTHORIZATION FOR BACKGROUND <br />INVESTIGATIONS FOR TRANSIENT MERCHANTS, PEDDLERS, <br />CANVASSERS AND SOLICITORS. <br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota does ordain: <br />Section 612.05 (H) is amended to read (added portions are underscored) <br />Sec. 612.05 Applications. <br />H. A statement as to whether or not the applicant or the person managing the <br />business has been convicted of any crime, misdemeanor or violation of <br />any municipal ordinance, involving activities licensed under this Chapter, <br />the nature of the offense and the punishment or penalty assessed therefore. <br />Criminal History Data should be verified by the Police Department <br />utilizing the Minnesota Criminal Justice Information System. The <br />applicant must consent to allow the criminal history checks to be <br />completed, an applicant's failure to provide consent may disqualify the <br />applicant from obtaining the requested license. <br />This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council. <br />Passed by the City Council of Lino Lakes this 8th day of October, 2001 <br />John Bergeson — Mayor <br />Ann Blair — City Clerk <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />
