Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 01 -184 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS FROM THE LINO LAKES LIONS, LINO LAKES STATE BANK AND FOREST LAKE AREA ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE LINO LAKES PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT'S ANNUAL FAMILY TURKEY SHOOT WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department conducted this annual holiday event on Saturday, November 17, 2001; and The event is a free holiday event for the families of Lino Lakes; and 125 parent -child teams, consisting of one child (ages 4 -14) and one adult, competed in a variety of low -key athletic events for prizes; and WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes Lions and the Lino Lakes State Bank were made aware of the desire of the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department to conduct the Family Turkey Shoot with the support of program sponsors and have donated to the City to defer the costs of this event. Lino Lakes Lions $300 Lino Lakes State Bank $165 Forest Lake Area Athletic Complex $100 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Lino Lakes hereby accepts the donations in the amount of $565 to help fund the Family Turkey Shoot event and wishes to express its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Lino Lakes Lions, Lino Lakes State Bank, and the Forest Lake Area Athletic Association for their donations. Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this day of , 2001. John J. The following voted against same: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
