4.6. PUBLICLY- ACCESSIBLE COMMONS <br />Minimum Area. The Residential District must include a minimum acreage of Publicly - Accessible <br />Commons equal to 10 percent of the District land area. The Commons are a landscaped gathering <br />area similar to a park or open space and may be public or privately owned but must be accessible <br />to the general public. However, no more than 5,000 square feet may be used by a private <br />community recreation facility structure such as a pool or clubhouse. <br />Jn i <br />Publicly Accessible Commons. The diagrams show possible <br />configurations of Commons. 411 sides of the Commons must be at least 60 feet long. Adjacent residences <br />must front onto the commons along at least 2/3 of the perimeter, although side -ons are acceptable at street <br />corners; any remaining perimeter must be a Natural Resource Area. A street is required along at least one <br />side and along at least 1/4 of the perimeter; any remaining perimeter must have walkways.
