•
•
AGENDA ITEM 6. C
STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jeff Smyser
C. C. MEETING DATE: April 12, 2004
TOPIC: Public Hearing
First Reading of Ordinance No. 07 -04
Vacating Drainage and Utility Easement
125 Ash Street (Rice Creek Covenant Church)
BACKGROUND
The Rice Creek Covenant Church has submitted an application to further develop its current site
at 125 Ash Street. The application includes several elements. The project was continued at the
March P & Z meeting and will be considered further at the April 14 P & Z meeting.
If the project proceeds, the vacation of a drainage and utility easement must occur. The City
Council holds public hearings for vacations. Because of advance publication requirements, the
easement vacation notice was published for tonight. However, since the entire project will not
be considered by the City Council tonight, staff recommends opening the public hearing and
continuing it to the May 10 meeting. The entire development project is scheduled to be
considered that night, and the easement vacation can be considered then.
RECOMMENDATION
Open the public hearing and continue it to May 10, 2004.
