Randy:
•
314 Oak Street
Sauk Centre, Minnesota 56378
352-3664
June 18, 1981
I was contacted by Mr. Elwin Klimer to'review the proposed
driveway location in Lot 9, Equity Planning Subdivision as
requested by the Planning Commission and offer the following
comments:
1. Mr. Klimer plans on locating his driveway on the.30 foot
road easement on Lot 9. This is the best possible
location due to the large area required for drainage
easements.
2. A 15" CMP culvert should be placed under his driveway so
that the drainage from Lot 10 will be able to flow in its
natural course to the wetlands.
3. We recommend that a soil boring be taken by a Soils Engineer
in order to determine the amount of peat that lies under his
proposed driveway in the area whereat will cross the wetlands.
The Soils Engineer: should make a recommendation as to the
procedure required to stabilize the soil for the culvert and the
driveway.
•
4. Mr. Klimer should realize that 'a City Street could be constructed
in this road easement at a future date.
5. No fill material should be allowed in the drainage easement.
•
6. The developer of Equity Planning Subdivision has not completed
his Rice Creek Watershed requirements that were to be constructed
• on the south property line of Lot 9. These items are the dike,
the culvert, and the weir.
