PINE STREET PAVEMENT PETITION 5 -3 -04 The residence of Pine Street of Columbus Township and Lino Lakes MN here by formally petition both communities to work jointly to pave Pine St. Pine Street is a safety hazard because of the traffic load that it carries as compared to other gravel roads in the area. In presenting this petition we are asking that this project get top priority as it is a local issue that the majority signing petitioners, residents on Pine, Zodiac and Jodrell Streets, have suffered with for years with little help to address the increasing unsafe conditions. Our initial desire based on resident signatures is that of getting Pine paved from Lake Drive to 4th Street. This stretch of road carries the majority of traffic and safety issues, which need to be addressed. We are not asking that the speed limit or weight limit be changed, as it is adequate. However it would be beneficial to post speed limit, weight limit and critter crossing signs at both entrances to Pine. Other affected side streets can determine on their own if they want their section of road paved and many have indicated that they do or will support the main paving of Pine St. As to expedite action on this project it is being submitted today.
