• <br />• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 3A <br />STAFF MEMBER Gordon Heitke, City Administrator <br />DATE June 14, 2004 <br />SUBJECT 2004 -2005 City Council Goals and Management Action <br />Plans <br />VOTE REQUIRED 3/5 <br />BACKGROUND <br />In accordance with the procedures set forth in the SUMMARY OF KEY <br />OBSERVATIONS AND CONCLUSIONS, MAY 22, 2004 GOALS SETTING <br />SESSION, the City Staff has prepared specific Management Action Plans (MAPs) for <br />pursuing implementation of council's seven High - Priority 2004 -2005 Goals, identified at <br />the goal setting workshop on May 22, 2004. The MAPs identify specific performance <br />objectives, schedules, methodologies, and action plans. They also identify operating and <br />capital budget requirements. These MAPs are being presented to the council for review, <br />discussion, and comprehension of how the administration intends to proceed in fulfilling <br />its role in executing the council's policy direction. <br />Council should review and adopt by resolution the seven High - Priority Goals and <br />Management Action Plans, identified at the goal- setting workshop on May 22, as an <br />official statement of its leadership priorities. <br />OPTIONS <br />1.
