Studenski, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: July 12, 2004 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 04 -96, Approving Acquisition of Right -of- <br />Way /Easements, 62nd Street Reconstruction Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />As part of the 62nd Street Reconstruction Project, acquisition of additional right - <br />of -way and drainage /utility easements is necessary for the completion of the <br />street and storm sewer construction. <br />Acquisition of Right -of- Way /Easements was previously authorized on May 10, <br />2004. An adjustment to 505 62nd Street and 590 62nd Street for a total increase <br />of $750.00 has been added to the Acquisition of Right -of- Way /Easements for <br />this project. <br />1111 City Staff is requesting authorization for payment of acquisition up to and equal <br />to the amount detailed in the attached appraisal dated July 6, 2004 for a total <br />amount of $100,375.00. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Adopt Resolution 04 -96, Approving Acquisition of Right -of- Way /Easements, <br />62nd Street Reconstruction Project. <br />2. Not Adopt Resolution No. 04 -96. <br />3. Return to staff for further review. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option No. 1 - Staff recommends that Resolution No. 04 -96 be adopted. <br />• <br />
