Page Two
Jeff Smyser
November 20, 2006
RSEA and RSNRA are tools that can be used by local governments to assist in identifying
areas for the protection of priority natural resources.
The south portion of the property lies along the proposed Central Anoka County Regional
Trail as identified in the Council's 2030 Regional Parks Policy Plan. Final design and
development of this subdivision should be coordinated with the Anoka County Parks
Department in order to define the interrelationship between the subdivision's trails and the
regional trail. John VonDeLinde, Anoka County Parks Director, can be contacted for further .
information at 763 - 767 -2860.
Transportation (Ann Braden, 651 -602 -1705)
The development is located north of CSAH 14, which is designated a principal arterial and
therefore is an element of the Metropolitan Highway System. Full access from CSAH 14 has
been requested but would not satisfy Anoka County's current access spacing guidelines for a
full- movement intersection. According to the EAW, the County, City and developer are
continuing to study access options for the site. The Council supports whichever access
alternative does not compromise the highway's continued function as a principal arterial and
is consistent with County guidelines for access spacing and management.
If you need further information about the Council's review, please contact Bob Mazanec, Principal
Reviewer, at 651 602 -1330.
Sincerely,
Phy f Hanson, Manager
Loc .
