• <br />• <br />• <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07 -08 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH RCWD TO <br />COST SHARE PREPARATION OF RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PLAN <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes is in the process of preparing it's 2008 <br />Comprehensive Plan Update; and <br />WHEREAS, the Rice Creek Watershed District has agreed to collaborate with the City <br />to prepare a Resource Management Plan (RMP) for the City as whole; and <br />WHEREAS, the RMP in conjunction with the City's Land Use Planning will address <br />several goals within the subwatersheds encompassing Lino Lakes including: <br />1. Maintenance and Management of Public Drainage Systems <br />2. Protection and Enhancement of Lake Water Quality <br />3. Land and Water Conservation <br />4. Coordinated Permitting and Regulatory Program <br />5. Wetland Preservation and Enhancement; <br />And <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to partner with the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District to prepare this plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. that the agreement with the Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) to participate <br />financially in the preparation of the Resource Management Plan in the amount of <br />$75,000, is hereby approved. <br />2. that the Council authorizes staff to execute the necessary agreements on behalf of <br />the City. <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />John J.
