<br />3.2.1 Population
<br />Anoka County is the fourth largest county in the state of Minnesota by population. From 1990 to
<br />2000, Anoka County grew almost twice as fast as the rest of Minnesota. The county's
<br />population increased by over 20% and the number of households increased by almost 30 %.
<br />Anoka County is one of 87 counties in Minnesota. The estimated population in 2004 was
<br />319,950. This was an increase of 7.34% from the 2000 census.
