Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07-46 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE AGREEMENT <br />WITH HOLIDAY STATIONSTORES <br />LAKE DRIVE/35W INTERCHANGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. <br />WHEREAS, County State Aid Highway 23 (Lake Drive), within Lino Lakes, Minnesota, <br />County of Anoka, is classified as an A Minor Arterial — Reliever; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has determined that it is in the best interests of the traveling public <br />to reconstruct the interchange at I -35W and County State Aid Highway 23 (Lake Drive) <br />as soon as possible; and <br />WHEREAS, the improvements consisting of constructing bridge, roadway, pedestrian <br />facilities and utilities are herein determined necessary to provide for the improved safety <br />and mobility of the traveling public; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted July 25, 2005, the City Council authorized <br />the preparation of plans and specifications for the proposed improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted August 28, 2006 the City Council <br />approved City of Lino Lakes Right -of -Way Plat No. 3; and <br />WHEREAS, Said plat identified fee simple interests, permanent easements and <br />temporary construction easements over certain lands required to provide for said <br />construction; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has reached agreement for direct purchase of Parcels 12 -1 and <br />12 -2 of said plat <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Approves the purchase agreement with Holiday Stationstores in the amount of <br />$206,885 and authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the agreement on <br />behalf of the City. <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />John J.
