PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT, Rick DeGardner <br />None <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT, Michael Grochala <br />A) Consider Resolution No. 07 -74 approving a Variance to the Pg 62 -66 <br />local street setback for a porch addition at 8020 Danube Street, <br />Paul Bengtson <br />Action Taken: Motion by Carlson, seconded by Stoltz, to <br />approve Resolution No. 07 -74 as presented, was adopted by a <br />voice vote (Council Member Reinert absent) <br />B) Consider Resolution No. 07 -75 approving an Amendment to a Pg 67 -75 <br />Conditional Use Permit to allow the construction of an office <br />building at 415 Lilac Street (Molin Concrete), Paul Bengtson. <br />Action Taken: Motion by O'Donnell, seconded by Stoltz, to <br />approve Resolution No. 07 -75 as presented, was adopted by a <br />voice vote (Council Member Reinert absent) <br />C) Consideration of Resolution No. 07 -79, Approving Conditional Pg 76 -82 <br />Use Permit to allow earth material storage at 6644 20th Avenue, <br />Royal Oaks Realty — Jim Studenski <br />Action Taken: Motion by Carlson, seconded by O'Donnell, to <br />deny approval of the conditional use permit based on the <br />following findings, was adopted by a voice vote (Council <br />Member Reinert absent): <br />- zoning ordinance: city is not obligated under language for <br />conditional use permit issuance since it says the city "may" <br />grant permits; <br />- comprehensive plan: use is not consistent with nor the use <br />intended for a rural area; doesn't meet agricultural objectives; <br />seen as a "heavy" use in an area planned for future residential <br />development; <br />- traffic /safety — Anoka County has identified safety issues but <br />is committed to requiring they be addressed "to the fullest <br />extent possible" <br />
