Specific Performance Objectives to be pursued during the <br />remainder of 2007 and into 2008 as necessary: <br />(1) Continue to promote the importance of establishing <br />a sense of security throughout the community and <br />maintaining support for the Fire Department, Police <br />Department, and community involvement of the <br />following groups: <br />• Explorers <br />• Reserve Officers <br />• Office Volunteers <br />• Public Safety City Commission <br />• Chaplain <br />• Community Emergency Response Teams <br />• Neighborhood Watch <br />• National Night Out <br />• Business Watch <br />(2) Adopt a Crime Free Multi- Housing Ordinance. <br />(3) Adopt a Megahertz Public Safety Radio System <br />Ordinance (800 Megahertz) <br />(4) Update Emergency Plan during 2007 and conduct a <br />functional exercise of the plan in 2008. <br />(5) Review Task Force options pertaining to the <br />following areas: <br />• Gang Task Force <br />• Drug Task Force <br />• Violent Offenders Task Force <br />
