Maloney, PE
Public Works Director /City Engineer
651.490.4600
Andover Station Commercial Area Redevelopment
Andover, Minn.
Todd and his team provided
multidisciplined services to
support the redevelopment of a
100 -acre contaminated automotive
salvage site for use as commercial
property.
The project's street, utility, and
site grading improvements
required the team to balance site
improvements with contamination
remediation and onsite wetland
mitigation. The team worked in
coordination with an adjacent
landfill property and the local
watershed district to minimize
collateral impacts.
After completing an area -wide
traffic study and environmental
assessment review, SEH provided
design and construction services
for 1.8 miles of State Aid roadway
and public utilities.
This complex project required
coordination with two counties,
three cities, and Mn /DOT for
project approvals, as well as
coordination with a private
developer.
The project lowered twin 60 -inch
aqueducts to accommodate the
new road.
The Consulting Engineers
Council of Minnesota awarded
the project its 2001 Grand
Award.
Reference
David Berkowitz, PE
City Engineer /Director of
Public Works
763.755.5100
City of Lino Lakes • City Engineering Services 1 page 24
