• <br />• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 4F <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR David J Pecchia, Public Safety Director /Chief of <br />Police <br />DATE August 27, 2007 <br />TOPIC <br />Consideration to Approve Resolution No. 07 -127 <br />allowing the Lino Lakes Police Department to <br />participate in the Safe and Sober project <br />VOTED REQUIRED Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety has once <br />again awarded a grant for the Anoka County law enforcement agencies to <br />participate in their Safe and Sober project for the period of October 1, 2007 <br />through September 30, 2008. The Coon Rapids Police Department was <br />designated to execute such agreements and amendments as are necessary to <br />implement the project on behalf of the Lino Lakes Police Department. <br />Resolution #07 -127 allows the City of Lino Lakes to promote the Safe & Sober <br />Communities initiative. <br />OPTIONS <br />1. Approve Resolution 07 — 127. <br />2. Return to staff for further consideration. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Approve and sign. <br />
