WS — Item ll <br />WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />Work Session Item 11 <br />Date: Council Work Session, September 5, 2007 <br />To: City Council <br />From: Gordon Heitke <br />Re: Report on Blue Heron Days /Special Events <br />Background <br />Following the 2006 Blue Heron Days and the Miller's on Main special event, the city <br />received correspondence regarding noise levels. This information was presented and <br />discussed by the council at the April 2, 2007 work session in preparation for <br />consideration of the special event permit application from Miller's on Main, to be held in <br />conjunction with the 2007 Blue Heron Days festival. Based on the comments and <br />direction from this meeting, staff will provide an update on this year's festival and events <br />from a permitting perspective. <br />The only comment that administrative staff has received is the attached, unsigned letter. <br />Requested Council Direction <br />This item is for the purpose of sharing information.
