• <br />AGENDA ITEM 2C <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Al Rolek <br />MEETING DATE: September 10, 2007 <br />TOPIC: <br />Resolution 07 -133 setting dates of Truth in Taxation <br />hearings <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />All local government entities are required to hold Truth in Taxation hearings to <br />receive public input on the proposed levy and general operation budget. Cities <br />may not hold their initial hearings on the same dates as Counties and School <br />Districts. <br />Resolution 07 -133 sets Monday, December 10, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. as the date for <br />the City's Truth in Taxation hearing. A continuation hearing, if needed, would be <br />held Monday, December 17, 2007 at 6:00 p.m., with final adoption of the 2007/08 <br />tax levy and 2008 general operating budget immediately following the <br />continuation hearing on December 17, 2007. <br />Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 07 -133 setting the Truth in Taxation <br />hearing dates. <br />1.
