The City <br />of Lino Lakes is a finalist in the 2007 awards <br />competition n in the category of Green Building <br />and Development for its proactive, citizen- <br />driven environmental review process of the <br />1-35E Corridot The Alternative Urban <br />Arcawide Review (AUAR) assessed the impact <br />of development on sensitive natural resource <br />areas and provided a mitigation plan for pro- <br />tecting these areas, as well as documenting and <br />planning for infrastructure needs and improve- <br />ments. Other public agencies were invited into <br />the process from the onset, making a smooth <br />approval process with positive resulm. <br />The winners will be selected in May <br />-1 4 6- <br />
