Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07 -184 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING $1,000 DONATION FROM TARGET FOR CONTINUED <br />SUPPORT OF THE DOMESTIC ABUSE RESPONSE TEAM <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />Target is aware that the Lino Lakes Police Department operates under the <br />Community Oriented Policing Philosophy. As part of this philosophy, the <br />department continually looks for ways to connect with the community and <br />strengthen the partnership between the police and community. The Lino <br />Lakes Police Department responds to incidents of domestic abuse and is <br />committed to ensuring that services are provided to the victims of this <br />crime that will lead to a lasting solution for those involved; and <br />Target supports the efforts of strengthening our community and the <br />families. The donation of $1,000 will be beneficial in identifying victims <br />caught in the cycle of family violence and help them get the services they <br />need to break this cycle. The ultimate goal will be the prevention of family <br />violence in our community; and <br />Target has donated $1,000 to the city in their support of this outreach <br />program in this community; and <br />the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in the following <br />manner: <br />Increase Revenue - Contributions 101 - 3720 -000 $1,000.00 <br />Increase Police Expenditure $1,000.00 <br />(101 - 420 -4214 -000 Crime Prevention) <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council members, do <br />hereby accept the donation of $1,000.00 and wishes to express its gratitude to Target <br />for the donation. <br />John Bercipson.
