• <br />• <br />• <br />WS — Item 8 <br />WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />Work Session Item 8 <br />Date: Council Work Session, November 5, 2007 <br />To: City Council <br />From: Gordon Heitke <br />Re: Rice Creek Watershed District Appointment <br />Background <br />The attached notice of a future vacancy on the Rice Creek Watershed District Board of <br />Managers was previously sent directly to all council members. There was a very brief <br />discussion of this in a previous work session setting, at which time it was clarified that <br />the future vacancy is not the manager from within Lino Lakes, however, that does not <br />preclude the Council from submitting names jointly with other cities or severally from <br />which the County Board will appoint. If the Council wishes to submit names, Council <br />would need to take action at the November 13 meeting. Lino Lakes has not submitted <br />names in the past. <br />Requested Council Direction <br />The Council needs to direct staff if any action is to be taken. <br />Attachment <br />1.
