• <br />• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 1C <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: November 26, 2007 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 07 -193, Supporting Anoka <br />County in the Pursuit of Funding for the Rice <br />Creek North Regional Trail <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Anoka County is seeking additional state funding for a 4 -mile paved trail that will <br />extend from County Rd J and Lexington Avenue through the Rice Creek Chain of <br />Lakes Regional Park Reserve and connect up to the Lino Lakes Town Center <br />and YMCA (Please see attached map). Once complete, the Rice Creek Regional <br />Trail will provide a direct connection from Lino Lakes to the Mississippi River <br />(Please refer to second attached map). <br />The attached letter indicates the City of Lino Lakes' support for Anoka County to <br />pursue state funding for this project. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Adopt Resolution Number 07 -193. <br />2. Do not adopt Resolution Number 07 -193. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option No. 1. <br />
