Studenski, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: December 10, 2007 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 07 -194, Approving Payment <br />Request No. 2 (Final), 2007 Surface Water <br />Management Project, Outfall Cleaning. <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At the July 23, 2007 meeting, City Council awarded the 2007 Surface Water <br />Management, Outfall Cleaning Contract to Jay Brothers, Inc. <br />The contractor for the Surface Water Management, Outfall Cleaning, Jay Brothers, Inc. is <br />requesting City approval of Payment No. 2 (Final) in the amount of $822.50. A copy of <br />the final payment is attached.. The change order authorized by the Council <br />October 8, 2007, addresses the additional outfall cleaning that was directed by Public <br />Works. <br />Staff recommends approval of Payment No. 2 (Final) in the amount of $822.50, which <br />results in a total project cost of $16,450.00. The total project cost is under the engineer's <br />estimate of $17,500. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the approval of Resolution No. 07 -194, Approving Payment Request <br />No. 1 (Final), 2007 Surface Water Management Project, Outfall Cleaning. <br />
