• 10 -07 -07 <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />PLANNING SECTION <br />EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLAN <br />REVISION: 1 <br />I. PURPOSE <br />The purpose of this section is to provide an overview of how the warning and notification <br />process, radiological and hazardous materials, information services, mapping and <br />documentation, resources, and engineering branches would operate in the City of Lino Lakes. <br />This section will also coordinate with the Operations Section in preparing action plans on a <br />daily basis when responding to an emergency incident. <br />II. RESPONSIBILITIES <br />A. The notification and warning branch will be responsible for developing and <br />coordinating plans to alert the public of imminent bad weather or hazardous <br />material incidents. <br />B. The radiological and HAZMAT branch will be responsible for developing and <br />coordinating plans to meet the needs of a response to an incident. <br />C. The information services branch will be responsible for facilitating the use of <br />electronic data transfers of informational technology which support a response to an <br />incident. <br />D. The mapping and documentation branch will be responsible for the use of GIS <br />Technology and data collection that will support a response to an incident. <br />E. The resources branch will be responsible for developing and coordinating available <br />resources to be used in response to an incident. <br />F. The engineering branch will be responsible for assisting in assessment of critical <br />Infrastructure damage. <br />G. The damage assessment branch will be responsible for assessing and documenting the <br />damage of public or private property infrastructures following a disaster. <br />III. AVAILABLE RESOURCES AND SUPPORTING AGENCIES <br />• A. Notification and warning will consist of assistance from the Minnesota Highway <br />Patrol and Anoka County Warning System. <br />48 <br />
