Transportation <br />On the Ground, in the Air <br />The City of Lino Lakes has the good fortune of <br />having both I-35W and I-35E transect the city.This <br />provides immediate interstate access for businesses <br />and commuters to both Minneapolis and St. Paul. <br />The City and Anoka County are making significant <br />improvements to accommodate the influx of new <br />development. <br />Convenien-6 located <br />Major transportation improvements on and around <br />the 35W/Highway 23 (Lake Drive) interchange <br />are complete. In 2010,a major reconstruction of the <br />35E/County Road 14 (Main Street) interchange <br />will begin. <br />The Anoka County-Blaine Airport—the largest <br />reliever airport in the metro area—is just minutes <br />from Lino Lakes Town Center.There is no substitute <br />for person-to-person contact, and many successful <br />businesses rely heavily on air travel to meet with <br />clients, customers and colleagues. Corporate jet <br />aircraft operators, recreational pilots and many <br />antique aircraft owners call the airport home. <br />Surfside Seaplane Base in Lino Lakes is the largest <br />seaplane base in the lower 48 states. It is privately <br />owned and operated, has an 1,900 foot grass <br />runway with a full aircraft maintenance facility and <br />fuel. Adventure Seaplanes is one of the few places <br />in the country that offers instruction, rental and <br />sales of this type of aircraft.
