• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 3 B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Daniel Tesch, Director of Administration <br />MEETING DATE: 22 March 2010 <br />TOPIC: City of Lino Lakes and AFSCME Local 2454 <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The collective bargaining agreement between the City and AFSCME Local 2454 <br />expired 31 December 2009. We have negotiated a tentative agreement for 2010 which <br />extends the provisions in the existing contract with the following adjustments: <br />• No cost of living adjustment for 2010 <br />• 80 hours of unpaid voluntary salary saving leave <br />in consideration of employee concessions towards 2010 budget relief we have <br />included contract language that states in the event of a lay -off of a member of the <br />group in 2010, any furlough time taken would be reimbursed to that member. This is <br />a one year agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the attached draft Memorandum of Understanding. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Memorandum of Understanding. <br />
