Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10 -32 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF SIGNAL JUSTIFICATION <br />REPORTS FOR THE BIRCH ST/WARE ROAD INTERSECTION AND THE LAKE <br />DRIVE /MAIN STREET INTERSECTION <br />WHEREAS, the intersections of Lake Drive and Main Street; and Birch Street and Ware <br />Road are currently experiencing growing congestion and safety problems; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has previously received requests from residents to consider the <br />signalization of both intersections; and <br />WHEREAS, the city is proposing to prepare Signal Justification Reports to determine if <br />traffic signal improvements are warranted to improve safety and relieve congestion at <br />each intersection. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. That preparation of Signal Justification Reports for the Lake Drive /Main Street <br />intersection and the Birch StreetNVare Road intersection is hereby authorized. <br />2. That the staff is hereby authorized to enter into a professional services <br />agreement with TKDA, the city engineer, for the preparation of said reports, in <br />the not to exceed amount of $10,000 total for both reports. <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 12th day of April, 2010. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
