APPENDIX A <br />CONDITIONAL USES <br />The uses identified in Table 1, Section 3.1 that require a Condition Use Permit shall be evaluated <br />based on the following applicable criteria: <br />A. E� Places /Outdoor Restaurants, Clubs and Loes: <br />r <br />1. The applicant shall demonstrate that pedestrian circulation is not disrupted as a <br />result of the outdoor dining area by providing the following: <br />1) Outdoor dining arca shall bc segregated from through pedestrian <br />circulation by means of fencing, bollards, ropes, plantings, or other <br />methods, and shall be subject to review and approval by the City <br />Council. <br />2) Minimum clear passage zone for pedestrians at thc perimeter of the <br />restaurant shall bc at least mix (6) feet without interference from parked <br />motor vehicles, bollards, trees, tree gate:, curbs, stairways, trash <br />receptacles, street lights, parking meters, or thc lilac. <br />3) Overstory canopy of trees, umbrellas or other structures extending int <br />the pedestrian clear pa- sage zone or pedestrian aisle shall have a <br />minimum clearance of seven (7) feet above sidewalk. <br />f. The dining area shall bc surfaced with concrete, bituminous or decorative pavers <br />claan, attractive, and functional surface. <br />A minimum width of thirty six (36) inches shall be provided within aisles of the <br />outdoor dining arca. <br />h. Storage of furniture shall not be permitted outdoors bebYeen N vcmbcr 1 and <br />March 31.
