COUNCIL MINTJTES April 12, 2010 <br />DRAFT <br />•CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />2 MINUTES <br />4 DATE : April 12, 2010 <br />5 TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. <br />6 TIME ENDED : 7:15 p.m. <br />7 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Members Gallup, Roeser, and <br />8 Mayor Reinert <br />9 MEMBERS ABSENT : Council Members O'Donnell, Rafferty, <br />10 <br />11 Staff members present: City Attorney Joseph Langel; Community Development Director Michael <br />12 Grochala; Chief of Police Dave Pecchia; Finance Director Al Rolek; Environmental Coordinator <br />13 Marty Asieson; City Engineer Jim Studenski <br />14 <br />15 PUBLIC COMMENT <br />16 <br />17 Peggy Little, 7775 Clydesdale Circle, reported her concern about the possibility of a group home <br />18 locating in her neighborhood. She would like to understand up front who would be housed in that <br />19 facility. <br />70 <br />21 Gary Specator, 7785 Clydesdale Circle, noted that he has forwarded information in email form <br />22 already and won't repeat all of that. He is concerned that Anoka County is not forthcoming with <br />• 23 adequate information about this group home situation, either to the residents or the city. The county <br />24 is offering to hold an informational community meeting to provide factual information about the <br />25 situation; the city should be a willing participant. <br />26 <br />27 Mayor Reinert noted that the council is putting the matter of the group home on their May 3, 2010 <br />2s work session agenda. He has lots of questions and some concern about the operation of the house; <br />29 future plans and opportunities need to be understood. <br />30 <br />31 SETTING THE AGENDA <br />32 <br />33 The agenda was approved as presented. <br />34 <br />35 CONSENT AGENDA <br />36 <br />37 Council Member Gallup moved to approve the Consent Agenda. Council Member Roeser seconded <br />38 the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote; Council Members O'Donnell and Rafferty absent. <br />39 <br />40 ITEM ACTION <br />41 <br />42 Consideration of Expenditures: <br />43 <br />•44 April 12, 2010 (Check No. 87947 — <br />45 88027, $233,087.50) Approved <br />
