COUNCIL MINTJTES April 12, 2010 DRAFT •CITY OF LINO LAKES 2 MINUTES 4 DATE : April 12, 2010 5 TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. 6 TIME ENDED : 7:15 p.m. 7 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Members Gallup, Roeser, and 8 Mayor Reinert 9 MEMBERS ABSENT : Council Members O'Donnell, Rafferty, 10 11 Staff members present: City Attorney Joseph Langel; Community Development Director Michael 12 Grochala; Chief of Police Dave Pecchia; Finance Director Al Rolek; Environmental Coordinator 13 Marty Asieson; City Engineer Jim Studenski 14 15 PUBLIC COMMENT 16 17 Peggy Little, 7775 Clydesdale Circle, reported her concern about the possibility of a group home 18 locating in her neighborhood. She would like to understand up front who would be housed in that 19 facility. 70 21 Gary Specator, 7785 Clydesdale Circle, noted that he has forwarded information in email form 22 already and won't repeat all of that. He is concerned that Anoka County is not forthcoming with • 23 adequate information about this group home situation, either to the residents or the city. The county 24 is offering to hold an informational community meeting to provide factual information about the 25 situation; the city should be a willing participant. 26 27 Mayor Reinert noted that the council is putting the matter of the group home on their May 3, 2010 2s work session agenda. He has lots of questions and some concern about the operation of the house; 29 future plans and opportunities need to be understood. 30 31 SETTING THE AGENDA 32 33 The agenda was approved as presented. 34 35 CONSENT AGENDA 36 37 Council Member Gallup moved to approve the Consent Agenda. Council Member Roeser seconded 38 the motion.
