COUNCIL MINUTES May 10, 2010 <br />DRAFT <br />91 3B. Consider Appointing a Lino Lakes Representative to the Centennial Utilities Commission - <br />92 Acting Administrator Tesch recalled that the council recently interviewed candidates to fill the vacant <br />93 city representative position on this commission. He has heard from the council that their concensus is <br />94 to appoint Scott Bundy to fill this position. <br />95 <br />96 Council Member O'Donnell moved that the council appoint Mr. Scott Bundy as the Lino Lakes <br />97 representative to the Centennial Utilities Commission. Council Member Roeser seconded the motion. <br />98 Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />99 <br />100 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br />101 <br />102 4A. Proclamation — National Police Week 2010 — Police Chief Pecchia read the proclamation <br />103 declaring May 9 through May 15, 2010 as Police Week in the City of Lino Lakes. <br />104 <br />105 Council Member Gallup moved to approve the Proclamation as presented. Council Member Rafferty <br />106 seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />107 <br />108 4B. Consider Resolution No. 10 -43, Assigning a police officer to the Ramsey County Violent <br />109 Crimes Enforcement Team — Police Chief Pecchia reviewed his recommendation that the City of <br />110 Lino Lakes participate in the Ramsey County Violent Crimes Enforcement Team. By assigning one <br />111 officer, the city gains the benefit of being a part of a coordinated regional effort. <br />112 <br />113 A council member noted the value of participating in a program that brings experience and resources <br />114 together. <br />115 <br />116 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve Resolution No. 10 -43 as presented. Council Member <br />117 Roeser seconded the motion. Consider Second Reading of Ordinance No. 06 -10, Vacating a Drainage and Utility <br />126 Easement, 1612 Birch St. — Acting Administrator Tesch explained that staff is presenting this <br />127 easement vacation because it was granted in association with a subdivision that did not occur so <br />128 therefore is not needed. <br />129 <br />130 Council Member Gallup moved to waive full reading of the ordinance. Council Member Rafferty <br />131 seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />132 <br />133 Council Member Roeser moved to approve second reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 06 -10 as <br />134 presented.
