Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10 -54 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM MINNESOTA METRO <br />NORTH TOURISM FOR LINO LAKES BLUE HERON DAYS FESTIVAL <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes is a participating member of Minnesota <br />Metro North Tourism (MMNT); and <br />WHEREAS, The City collects a 3% lodging tax Pursuant to M.S.A. § 469.190 for <br />the purpose of supporting MMNT; and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of Directors of MMNT voted to provide $2,000 in 2010 to <br />each member city for promotion of the City's festival upon request of the official <br />festival committee; and <br />• WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes Lions Club requested the donation as official <br />sponsor and financial manager of Blue Heron Days. <br />• <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council does <br />hereby accept the donation of $2,000 for use by the Lino Lakes Lions Club for <br />the purposes of providing funds for refurbishing the City float and for advertising <br />and promotion of family oriented activities during Blue Heron Days. <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this day of , 2010. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Council Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
