Property Tax Collection Rate <br />This is current -year data, showing the collection rate on the current <br />year tax levy. Does not reflect delinquent tax collections. <br />10. Earnings on Investments (Governmental Funds) <br />Interest income includes earnings on all governmental fund investments, such <br />as fund balance which may be temporarily invested. General fund, special <br />revenue funds and all other governmental funds are included. <br />11. Expenditures by Function <br />Types of expenditures shown by function, such as General Government, Police <br />and Fire. <br />Summary of Expenditures <br />Total current expenditures shown above do not include the following: <br />Capital outlay (as shown in the annual financial reports), debt <br />redemption (long term and short term), and operating transfers out <br />(e.g., to special projects or for debt service). <br />Total Capital Outlay is the sum of annual capital outlay from all <br />governmental funds including capital outlay for general fund types of <br />activities, and also capital outlay for enterprise fund activities where <br />those are financed by governmental funds. <br />Debt Service Fund Principal is the Principal paid on long -term debt from <br />debt service funds. (Does not include enterprise fund payments.) <br />Total Expenditures include current expenditures (as described above), <br />capital outlay, and debt service principal, but excludes debt redemption <br />for 1984. <br />
