Council Member introduced the following resolution and <br />• moved its adoption: <br />• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06 -08 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ANOKA COUNTY AGREEMENT FOR 2006 <br />RESIDENTIAL RECYCLING PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has entered into an agreement with Anoka <br />County over the years to cooperatively work on Solid Waste abatement and Recycling; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County receives funding from the Solid Waste <br />Management Coordinating Board and the State of Minnesota in the form of "SCORE" <br />funds, and <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County wishes to assist municipalities in meeting recycling <br />goals established by the Anoka County Board of Commissioners by providing SCORE <br />funds to cities in the County for solid waste recycling programs; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes is eligible to receive $32,827.90 for fiscal <br />year 2006 in Score funds; and <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County Agreement No. 2005 -0300 provides for the <br />cooperative effort between Anoka County and the City of Lino Lakes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />Authorization that the City of Lino Lakes enter into an agreement with Anoka <br />County (Agreement No. 2005 -0300) Agreement for Residential Recycling Program. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 23rd day of January, 2006 <br />John Bergeson, Mayor <br />Attest: Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Council Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was duly passed and adopted. <br />- 3 9 - <br />
