BACKGROUND' <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />ATTACHMENTS' <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />VOTE REQUIRED: <br />AGENDA ITEM ID <br />Julie Bartell <br />City Clerk <br />February 13, 2006 <br />Consideration of adopting Resolution 06 -13 correcting the <br />2007 City Council /Mayor Salary Ordinance (No. 10 -05) <br />Simple Majority <br />On October 24, 2005, the City Council approved Ordinance No. 10 -05 entitled <br />Amending the Lino Lakes City Code by Setting the Salaries of the Mayor and City <br />Council Members, thereby establishing the 2007 salary rates for City Council members <br />and the Mayor. <br />The minutes reflect that the Council's intent was to adjust their salary down by 3% <br />from the 2006 rate. However, City Finance staff discovered that the figures included in <br />the ordinance did not reflect that reduction. <br />In order to correct this clerical error, the City Attorney has advised that the City Council <br />may pass a resolution amending said ordinance and including the accurate salary <br />level for 2007. A resolution providing for that correction is attached for your <br />consideration. <br />OPTIONS <br />1. Adopt Resolution No. 06 -13 correcting Ordinance No. 10 -05 that establishes <br />the 2007 salary rate for the Mayor and City Council members. <br />2. Refer to staff for further review. <br />3.
