Final Plat for Legacy at Woods Edge, Village No. 3, located at the SE intersection of Lake Drive and I-35W Staff stated that the applicant had submitte d the final plat for Village No. 3, which encompasses the Legacy at Wood’s Edge proj ect area. The submitted plat depicts three lots and five outlots. He indicated the final plat conforms to the preliminary plat layout approved with Resolution 04-33 by the City Council on Ma rch 8, 2004. The title commitment for the property and final plat has been forwar ded to the City Attorney for review. As required by the Development Agreement, the village green is being dedicated as public park, and outlot C which includes the we tland area will be deeded over to the City. A trail easement is required on the south side of Lots 1 and 2, but the exact location and size has not yet been determined by the City’s consulting engi neer for this project. Staff is recommending that the street names be altered prior to the plat being scheduled for the City Council. Particularly, the use of the eastern most segment of Town Center Parkway should be changed to Woods Edge Boulevard, and the existing Woods Edge Boulevard should be changed to Village Drive. Village Green should be eliminated as that section is not a full street but rather the south half of what will be Village Drive divided by the Village Green park which is essentially an enlarged boulevard between two lanes of traffic. Staff was recommending approval subj ect to the following conditions: 1. The eastern most segment of Town Ce nter Parkway must be renamed Woods Edge Boulevard prior to this item being scheduled by the City Council. 2. Woods Edge Boulevard must be renamed as an extension of Village Drive prior to this item being scheduled for the City Council. 3. Village Green must be renamed as an extens ion of Village Drive prior to this item being scheduled for the City Council. Chair Rafferty asked if the righ t angles of the roads being pr oposed were a benefit or a detriment to this development. Mr. Bengtson replied this did conform to the Master Plan that had been approved and the plans had been reviewed by the Consulting Engineer. Mr. Studenski replied those we re the right-of-way areas so it did not imply specifically that the roads would be applied in that way. He stated they would soften the radiuses if necessary, but they felt confident this proposal would work. Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION to recommend approval of the Final Plat for Legacy at Woods Edge, Village No. 3, located at the SE intersection of Lake Drive and I-35W subject to the conditions as noted in st aff’s May 11, 2005 report and was supported by Mr. Tralle. Motion carried 6-0.
