• • • AGENDA ITEM 1C COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 10, 2006 DRAFT 1 2 3 CITY OF LINO LAKES 4 MINUTES 5 6 7 8 DATE : April 10, 2006 9 TIME STARTED : 5:23 p.m. 10 TIME ENDED : 6:35 p.m. 11 MEMBERS PRESENT : Councilmember Carlson, O'Donnell, Reinert, 12 Stoltz and Mayor Bergeson 13 MEMBERS ABSENT : None 14 15 16 Staff members present: City Administrator, Gordon Heitke; Community Development 17 Director, Mike Grochala; Director of Administration, Dan Tesch; City Planner, Jeff 18 Smyser; City Engineer, Jim Studenski; Economic Development Coordinator, Mary Alice 19 Divine; Chief of Police, Dave Pecchia; Environmental Specialist, Mary Asleson; and City 20 Clerk, Julie Bartell 21 22 Staff advised the purpose of the meeting is to review the results of the Community 23 Survey. 24 25 Dr. William Morris, Decision Resources, provided the background for Decision 26 Resources and the survey process. He noted the response rate for the survey was very 27 high indicating residents were very interested in taking the survey. 28 29 I Dr. Morris advised the results of the survey are projectaable to all adult residents in Lino 30 Lakes plus or minus five percent in ninety -five out of one hundred cases. The average 31 time it took to complete the survey was 29 minutes. 32 33 Dr. Morris reviewed the results of the survey in detail noting 94% of those who took the 34 survey rated the quality of life in Lino Lakes as good. 35 36 Information was requested regarding the timing of the survey in relation to property 37 evaluations and tax statements. The results of the stadium issue and County library was 38 also requested. 39 40 Dr. Morris advised the City would receive a very thick narrative of the results as well as a 41 report. The results of the two additional questions will be included with the final report. 42 43 The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m. 44 Delete
