• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 6D <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING DATE: May 22, 2006 <br />TOPIC: <br />Resolution No. 06 -76, Approving Change Order No. 1 <br />Legacy at Woods Edge Phase 1 — Street and Utility <br />Improvements <br />ACTION REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />On August 22, 2005 the City Council awarded the Legacy at Woods Edge Phase 1 — <br />Street and Utility Improvements to contract to Glenn Rehbein Companies. The current <br />approved contract amount is $2,231,503.85. <br />Change Order No. 1 is for the street and utility improvements to be installed in Woods <br />Edge Boulevard. The estimated total for the change order is $385,410.00. The total <br />revised contract amount, with the change order, is $2,616,913.85. <br />This portion of the project was included in the original feasibility study for the project. <br />The Woods Edge Boulevard improvements were removed from the initial project to <br />allow for further design work on the townhome area of the development. The cost of <br />the improvements were previously included in the City's financing package and special <br />assessments levied against the properties. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending the adoption of Resolution No. 06 -76, Approving Change Order <br />No.1 in the amount of $385,410.00. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
