COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 8, 2006 <br />DRAFT <br />remembering Officer Shaun Silvera. Councilmember O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT, RICK DEGARDNER <br />There was no report from the Public Service Department. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 06 -72, Approving a Conditional Use Permit for an Addition to <br />the Rehbein Transit Facility at 6298 Hodgson Road, Paul Bengtson — Associate Planner Bengtson <br />stated Rehbein Transportation is proposing an 8 foot x 100 foot awning addition to the north side of <br />the existing facilities at 6298 Hodgson Road. The Rehbein property is covered by a conditional use <br />permit for the existing bus transit center. Building additions such as those proposed in the application <br />require an amendment to the Conditional Use Permit. <br />Associate Planner Bengtson reviewed the staff analysis of the request noting the Planning and Zoning <br />Board recommended approval subject to five conditions. <br />Mr. Rick Rehbein came forward and stated the reason for the request if for storage of an oil tank. <br />Councilmember Carlson moved to approve Resolution No. 06 -72, as presented. Councilmember <br />Stoltz seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 06 -73, Approving a Conditional User Permit for a Dog Kennel <br />at 7933 24th Avenue, Paul Bengtson — Associate Planner Bengtson advised Linda Ide has requested <br />approval of a Conditional Use Permit to allow a dog kennel at 7933 24th Avenue. This application is <br />required due to the current animal ordinance, which limits the number of dogs kept on this property. <br />The regular limit for a property is two dogs; to exceed that number it requires a Conditional Use <br />Permit and a Dog Kennel License. <br />Associate Planner Bengtson reviewed the staff analysis of the request,notinn the Planning and Zoning <br />Board ultimately recommended approval of the request subject to five conditions. Since that time <br />staff has amended some o the conditions and added conditions to include nine total conditions of <br />approval. <br />Councilmember O'Donnell moved to approve Resolution No. 06 -73, as presented. Councilmember <br />Reinert seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consider 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 07 -06, Amending Ordinance No. 12-05 (the 2006 fee <br />schedule) by adding a Fee for Costs Related to the I -35E Corridor AUAR, Jeff Smyser — City <br />Planner Smyser advised the City Council approved the final I -35E Corridor Altemative Urban <br />Areawide Review (AUAR) in October 2005.
