• <br />• <br />• <br />COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 22, 2006 <br />DRAFT ( Formatted: Centered <br />Mr. Andy Lamberson, SEH, presented the draft Storm Water Utility Feasibility Study noting storm <br />water utility is the fairest option and is based on usage only. <br />Councilmember Reinert moved to adopt Resolution No. 06 -75, as presented. Councilmember <br />O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried with Councilmember Carlson voting nay. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 06 -76, Approving Change Order No. 1, Legacy at Woods Edge <br />Phase 1 Street and Utility Improvements, Michael Grochala — Community Development Director <br />Grochala stated on August 22, 2005 the City Council awarded the legacy at Woods Edge Phase 1 — <br />Street and Utility Improvements to contract Glenn Rehbein Companies. The current approved <br />contract amount is $2,231,503.85. <br />Community Development Director Grochala advised Change Order No. 1 is for the street and utility <br />improvements to be installed in Woods Edge Boulevard. The estimated total for the change order is <br />$385,410.00. The total revised contract amount is $2,616,913.85. <br />Community Development Director Grochala noted this portion of the project was included in the <br />original feasibility study for the project. The cost of the improvements wpreviously included in the <br />City's financing package and special assessments levied against the properties. <br />Councilmember O'Donnell moved to approve Resolution No. 06 -76, as presented. Councilmember <br />Carlson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Lois Lane Utility Improvements <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 06 -89, Declaring Costs to be Assessed, Jim Studenski — City <br />Engineer Studenski stated a public hearing for the Lois Lane Utility Improvements project was held <br />on August 22, 2005. The City authorized the plans and specifications on December 12, 2005. The <br />bids were received on May 15, 2006 and are within the project budget. <br />City Engineer Studenski advised the next step in the process is to declare the costs to be assessed. <br />The total amount to be assessed is $395,762.50. <br />Councilmember Reinert moved to approve Resolution No. 06 -89, as presented. Councilmember <br />O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 06 -91, Calling for Hearing on Proposed Assessment, Jim <br />Studenski — City Engineer Studenski advised following the City's action declaring costs to be <br />assessed for the Lois Lane Utility Improvements project, the City must call for a hearing on the <br />proposed assessments. <br />Councilmember Carlson moved to approve Resolution No. 06 -91, as presented.
