• <br />• <br />• <br />The project is proposed to be funded by the City's General fund, Trunk Utility and <br />Surface Water Management Fund. In anticipation of the plan update the City has <br />previously budgeted and set aside funds in 2005 and 2006 for this purpose. Additional <br />general fund dollars will be required in 2007 and 2008. City staff will also continue to <br />seek other potential funding sources including the Met Council's Local Planning <br />Assistance Loan Program. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Given the considerable involvement of the consultant team with previous city planning <br />initiatives it is staff's opinion that the approval DSU proposal will result in a cost <br />effective and stream lined planning process. <br />Staff is recommending approval of the Comprehensive Plan Update consultant services <br />contract with DSU, Inc., including the additional development of a Transportation Cost <br />Allocation Model. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
