Memorandum <br />Date: August 7, 2006 <br />To: City Council <br />From: Gordon Heitke <br />Re: Prior Comprehensive Plan Costs <br />21 Q <br />5 si g /7 /o, <br />At the last City Council meeting, staff recommended the hiring of DSU to serve as the <br />consulting planner for the comprehensive plan update project. The recommendation was <br />based on the proven expertise and reputation of DSU, their familiarity with Lino Lakes <br />from the previous AURA process, and a reasonable estimated cost in comparison with the <br />costs associated with the preparation of the previous comprehensive plan. <br />Staff indicated at the meeting that invoices related to the last comprehensive planning <br />totaled approximately $191,000 with additional months of comprehensive planning <br />invoices yet to be included. This figure was questioned. Staff has finished compiling the <br />invoices and has determined that the last comprehensive plan project cost $211,171.41. <br />A breakdown of costs by year and vendor is attached. Copies of the individual invoices <br />are available for review. <br />
