• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06 -124 <br />APPROVING APPLICATION FOR EXEMPT PERMIT <br />TO CONDUCT GUN RAFFLE <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota State Statutes, Section 349 requires non - profit <br />organizations to be licensed by the Charitable Gambling Control Board, and <br />WHEREAS, United Steel, Paper & Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, <br />Allied Industrial and Service Workers Union (PACE /USW), Local #264 has <br />acquired said license, and <br />WHEREAS, PACE /USW has submitted an application to hold its annual gun <br />raffle as part of a golf tournament at Chomonix Golf Course, 646 Sandpiper <br />Drive, on September 16, 2006, and <br />WHEREAS, PACE /USW has met the requirements and is eligible to conduct <br />gambling in the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Gambling Control Board requires the City of Lino <br />Lakes approve or deny this application by resolution; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lino Lakes City Council hereby <br />approves the off-site gambling activities of PACE /USW Local #264 at the <br />Chomonix Golf Course on September 16, 2006. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 14th day of August, 2006 <br />ATTEST: <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />John Bergeson, Mayor <br />
