($80,000 — Municipal
Buildings and Facilities Fund)
20XX - Public Works Facility
The existing maintenance facility was built in 1971. The current facility is inadequate for
the Streets, Fleet, Parks, Environmental, Water, and Sewer Departments to function
effectively. Also, there is lack of storage space resulting in many vehicles and equipment
being parked/stored outside exposed to the elements (sun, snow, hail, etc). A new public
works facility will provide a better opportunity to serve the public. ($6 million)
20XX - Salt Storage Shed
It is expected that in the near future, all municipalities will be required to properly store
salt /sand mixture to address environmental concerns that may occur. It makes sense to
locate /construct the salt storage shed along with the Public Works Facility. ($300,000)
