(2) A certified copy of title or deed to the parcel, or the previous year's <br />tax statement for the parcel, or an original or certified copy of a <br />purchase agreement for the parcel, or a lease agreement for the <br />parcel; provided that any of the above must state the approximate <br />parcel acreage or parcel dimensions such that the parcel acreage <br />and location may be readily determined; <br />(3) <br />A statement of animals to be kept on the parcel, including species, <br />maximum number of each species, age, sex, color, markings, <br />identifying brand or tattoo, or photographs of larger animals; <br />(4)Plans concerning housing, fencing, and waste disposal or removal, including a <br />sketch of proposed fence lines, barns, and other structures relative <br />to property lines and existing structures on all adjacent property. <br />Subd. 2. Inspection. The parcel and any proposed buildings shall be <br />inspected by the city building inspector or his designated representative. Inspection shall be <br />directed specifically toward: <br />(1) Proximity of proposed animal housing areas to residences, <br />dwellings and wells; <br />(2) Adjacent wetlands and waterways; <br />(3) <br />Potential drainage into adjacent wetlands and waterways. <br />Notice of approval shall be forwarded directly to the clerk - treasurer by the <br />building inspector within two weeks after the completed application is received. Re- <br />inspection may be requested by the applicant after completion of all necessary corrections <br />outlined by the building inspector. <br />Subd. 3. Recording. After receipt of the building inspector's approval, the <br />clerk - treasurer will register the hobby farm operator for the number and species of animals <br />requested. The total number of animal units shall not exceed one per acre of the parcel, as <br />the title, deed, tax statement, purchase agreement, or lease agreement for the parcel. <br />Subd. 4. Fees. A one -time hobby farm operator registration origination fee <br />of $5.00 per animal unit or fraction thereof shall be paid to the clerk - treasurer. <br />Subd. 5. Renewal. Each registration shall be renewed annually by remitting <br />an annual fee of $1.00 per animal unit, together with a current list of species and number of <br />animals housed on the parcel, to the clerk - treasurer. <br />503.06 Bees. Bees may be kept on parcels registered pursuant to 503.04 and <br />503.05. Bees shall be kept in accordance with the state apiary law and other statutes and <br />
