No. 07 -07, Amending Chapter 8 <br />of the Lino Lakes City Charter, on July 9a The ordinance was delivered to charter <br />commission members on July 11 The Charter Commission passed a resolution extending <br />their review period for an additional 90 days on August 23 and delivered the resolution to <br />the City Clerk on August 30 Due to this extended review period, the amendment question <br />could not be placed on the ballot for the November 2007 election <br />B. Calendar Year 2008 <br />(1) Objective: Amend the City Charter in accordance with the election or <br />by ordinance (if process does not include referendum) <br />a. Key Action Steps: <br />b. Funding sources: General Fund <br />STATUS: On November 30, 2007, the Charter Commission delivered a substitute <br />amendment (as allowed for by statutes) to City Hall, which was officially acknowledged by <br />action of the Council on December 10, 2007 Staff presented a process and timetable to <br />allow for the review of the substitute amendment and to accommodate options to place an <br />amendment on the November, 2008 ballot The first step, a technical review of the <br />substitute amendment by bond counsel, financial advisor and staff was initiated January 3, <br />2008 for a report to be presented to Council on February 4, 2008 <br />4. Review and update City's recreation projects and priorities <br />A. Calendar Year 2007 <br />(1) Objective: Review and update Park Dedication Ordinance <br />a. Key Action Steps: <br />i. City staff prepares Park Dedication Analysis report <br />ii. Park Board reviews and comments on report <br />iii. City Council considers proposed ordinance for approval <br />b. Lead Party: Public Services Department <br />
