2007 Volunteer_ Group's <br />Public Safety Citizen's Commission - Members of the f ,ino Lakes Police Department continued <br />their Work with citizens the Public Safety Citizen's Commission. The purpose of this committee <br />is to provide a formal structure to share information and olter an opportunity for ofticers and <br />citizens to provide feedback on police department topics and issues. Members of this committee <br />review and analyze topics of community concern, share information with the community related <br />to the police department, provide feedback on potential police department improvement initia- <br />tives, o f f e r advice‘on pending policy c `liSiderations and are communicators to policy makers on <br />pohce_issues and concerns. Members of this committee are Renee Kaulfuss, ��tary Stromayer. <br />Kent Strege, Adam Halverson, Judy Warren, Howard Hill, 1 nn Crupi, 111 itch DeMars, Aark. <br />Harris, Bob Ficcadenti, Lyle Bye, Karen Bye, Daryl Bartsch. 'Together they logged ON er 337 <br />Volunteer hours. <br />2007 Police. Rescnvcs <br />..Police Reserve Program -The Lino Lakes Police Department Reserve Officer Lnit Continued <br />their longstanding dedication to community service by providing 2-226.5 - olunteer hours to the <br />Police Department. Reserve Officers assist at school carnivals and DATZF, graduations. They <br />represented the department hv: <br />Assisting the cities of Blaine, (_bon Rapids, Anoka and \Mounds \sic -with their annual ies- <br />_ <br />tivals. <br />Assisting with National Night Out, Safety Camp, Public Safety Citizen's Academe, St. Jo- <br />seph's carnival and role playing at department trainings. <br />Providing traffic direction for the Blue heron Days parade. <br />• Performing business checks on weekends and evening hours <br />Providing assistance for the Turtleman Triathlon race. . <br />Assisting -with the Anoka County DWI Task Force <br />'Reseivc Officers are trained in first aid, officer safety, defensive tactics. use of force, weapons <br />training, vehicle lockouts, report writing, and use of police radios and othcr equipment. <br />19 <br />
